在性觀念和性產業開放的泰國，擁有眾多變性人，欣賞變性人表演自然是泰國觀光重點之一。然而，日前有名中國尤姓男大生與友人前往清邁遊玩時，尤男友人遭到HIV陽性的變性人下藥迷姦，事後尤男友人將遭遇貼上微博，引來網友熱議，最後在醫生的建議下立刻使用預防性投藥(PEP)，阻斷病毒發展，尤男朋友才平安度過空窗期。
Thailand has a progressive sex industry. There are also a large number of transgender people living in Thailand. Watching them perform is one of the tourist highlights. However, a while ago, some university students from China visited Chiangmai. During their visit, one was drugged and raped by a HIV-positive transgender person. After that, his friend posted his experience online, and that caused a heated discussion. He took a doctor’s advice and immediately received the Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP) treatment. He was able to stay negative in the end.
根據陸媒體報導，尤男和友人前往泰國按摩店按摩，卻被按摩師下藥迷姦，友人在得知自己遭到變性人按摩師性侵後，認為自己感染HIV的可能性極大，在醫師的協助下，盡速到醫院購買一個月份的愛滋阻斷藥物。尤男強調此事絕非杜撰，「這是一本防範手冊，比性侵更可怕的是不知道如何自救」，而中國住清邁總理事館也證實該按摩師的確是HIV帶原者。
According to the report by Chinese media, the student and his friends went to get a massage in a massage parlor. However, he was drugged and raped by his therapist. Afterwards, he thought he was at risk of contracting HIV and sought help from a doctor. He purchased a month’s amount of PEP. His friend, who posted his experience, emphasized that this was not fabricated and wanted this incident to be a caution for others. It has also been confirmed that the therapist is indeed HIV positive.
尤男認為大陸在「愛滋阻斷藥物」方面的相關資訊鮮為人知，總要有人發聲告訴大眾如何自我保護，於是徵求友人的同意後公布了慘痛的遭遇。聯合國愛滋病規劃署駐中國辦事處的周凱表示，所謂的「愛滋阻斷藥物」（Post Exposure Prophylaxis，簡稱PEP），其實是「暴露後預防」，並不是阻斷，若一個人預判自己可能感染HIV之72小時內投藥，可以有效降低感染風險。
The poster thinks that information about PEP is not nearly as prevalent in China and that someone has to speak up in order to educate others how to protect themselves, so with consent, he shared the student’s horrible experience. Kai Zhou from UNAIDS said that PEP is actually prevention after exposure, not blockage. If a person suspects him or herself to be at risk of contracting HIV and receives the medication within the first 72 hours, the chance of infection can be greatly reduced.
